I've finally gotten around to revising and editing Brother's Keeper, which only got a proper title and an overhaul this afternoon and submitted Creek Snakes today. I'm very excited about this and hope that things go well!

Sometimes I can do this writer gig after all. Shocking, isn't it? :)

However, I am not deterred. I'm not sure where to try next. Anybody have ideas for somewhere that would like a piece about a cowboy dealing with death and grief and his shrink brother in law? Another day, another rejection letter. At least I know that Gettysburg Review actually DID get my stuff now? And I have a decent idea of their turn around times. Still waiting to hear from the last place I sent Creek Snakes off to. And about Invocation too. I think Invocation MIGHT have a snowball's chance. Maybe.
